The COVID-19 pandemic presents an unprecedented challenge to the capacity of health care systems and providers around the world. Now, more than ever, stewardship of limited resources is critical.
From the collaboration between Choosing Wisely Canada and members of the Choosing Wisely international community, which also includes Choosing Wisely Italy, a list of nine recommendations for the public and clinicians was developed to raise awareness about the need to use limited health care resources wisely.
This list will be continuously updated with the collaboration of all participants. This is the first list of Choosing Wisely recommendations developed through an international collaboration.
